My review for ch10 of Secrets of the Ancients is complete.
It might be the most in-depth and weirdest TTRPG review and campaign diary in history.

I remember when they did Star Wars d20 with a much greater expectation of regular combat and had to rule that blasters and heavy energy weapons only did 2x or so the damage of being hit by a bit of metal in D&D, and even that was still quite lethal.

Traveller I think leans into the SF TTRP trope that simulating modern weapons, let alone things like lasers, masers or particle accelerators, is incredibly hard as people will just die from one hit. It emphasises the idea that combat should be a last resort, & only undertaken from a strong position.
