You can’t pour from an empty cup.

Take your meds. Drink your water. Do your dishes. Make a comfort food. Watch a little trash tv. Talk to your friends. Disconnect for a bit when you need to. Find the ways to sustain yourself. We need you.

This is such an intense symbolic/archetypal moment.

Explicitly written out.

They killed GOOD.

So:

First we scheduled the chimney cleaner.

Second- we lit a fire and all the carbon monoxide detector alarms went off in sequence.

The first one I thought was the battery. The second one I believed.

My husband and I both let out heavy sighs multiple times a day. Like double digits both.

But:

He only sighs in response to something he finds an annoyance and I only sigh continuously for no reason at all.

I find his kind of sighs are worse than my kind - but of course he believes the reverse

Also: McCulloch has different size tanks- I got the medium/small one just because I wanted to stow it in a closet instead of the garage.

By the way, for once I heard that Walz had called in the National Guard under his command from a human being before I heard it online.

Border Patrol has been hideously evil and violent for MUCH longer than ICE

I learned this fully FIFTY YEARS AGO.
Weird for the whole world to understand how violent Border & immigration police are when I’ve been terrified my whole life.
Listen: when I was 11-14 years old I lived in a safe house for undocumented workers, mostly hosted teenagers

At 12 I saw for the first, and not the last time, a 16 year old farm worker who had been beaten to a horrific pulp by US Border Patrol- under the Carter Adm.

I see the enemy and it is us

I saw a ~70 year old white woman completely dripped out in sage green technical hiking clothing, apple green hair, neon green Hokas, and bottle green sunglasses holding a FUCK ICE sign on the train and she is my new personal style role model.

“These Nazis need better training!”
Whole lotta “I sure think these Nazis could be doing their jobs better!” Rhetoric coming from people who’d like your vote and your money

I trot these two BdB examples out every time some couch critic says a mayor controls the cops. They do not. Every cop in this country works with impunity. If a mayor agrees with them, great. If a mayor doesn't, they'll sick out, harass, publicly disrespect them, or worse and still do what they do.

And many local police departments filled with Nazis.
There is only one terrorist organization running coordinated operations in U.S. cities, and it is the United States Federal Government.
Everybody should watch this and see this woman, who has a baby in her arms and is thrust into basically a standoff, develop courage in real time.

Greasy two-shirted Bannon.

Gross.
Bannon, MTG, and Tucker will reshape MAGA into "America First" - all white nationalist but anti-AI and military intervention (until of course they find an excuse to bomb some countries)

Scoop: Bannon quietly making moves toward 2028 run
Publicly, however, he's calling for a third term for President Trump.

I went to this and walked many laps with people who were as distressed and enraged as I am

And its always so moving to see elders with canes and walking sticks and kids and families braving the icy conditions to stand for justice
We'll be walking in vigil around the Roundhouse grounds. Join us 💙

What this administration is doing is accelerating and building on what already existed. This is disorienting, I know. We have to do what we can to protect each other locally while we also seriously address the foundational issues. This country has to disempower policing. I hope people understand now

It wasn’t college that radicalized me. It was the Border Patrol and Harvey Milk.

Folks.

I was literally raised in safe house for people living in the US without documentation.

I know what is happening with immigration.

I have been traumatized by the terrors I lived with, that I have born witness to, and the people who I could not protect my entire life.

And I don’t mean to be dramatic - but I grew up in a safe house in Southern California in the Carter administration when people without documentation couldn’t go to the hospital without being deported-

I’ve seen what the feds and Border Patrol can do to people. The fear is in my bones.
