历史是复杂的，传教士有其进步的一面，也有其黑暗的一面。近十年挖出来的在加拿大美国澳大利亚等国，教会寄宿学校虐待原住民儿童甚至致死的情况也客观存在。
个人认为教会也不是就仅仅只针对北美或者澳洲原住民，估计义和团时期，对教会一些控诉也不是完全空穴来风。
