ANALYSIS | Some wins for multilateralism at the G20 — and big questions about its long-term future | CBC News
The G20 summit is supposed to be the pinnacle of multilateralism: the idea that nations can co-operate, compromise and co-ordinate for the greater good. But a lot has changed in the past two decades.

A lot of this looks like slow movement into long term?
As of tonight (Nov 24) Saskatoon (#yxe) adult hospitals are 91 adult patients over capacity, with 59 adults admitted, no bed, backed up in ERs. Pediatrics is 7 over capacity. These numbers approach highest over occupancy I observed during previous 5 years (~110 pts over capacity). 5/

Generally government becomes involved directly when the private sector can’t or won’t meet a governments’ (the people’s) strategic goals and objectives. Notwithstanding their protestations, the private sector functions within those goals and objectives not independently from them.

"It doesn't make sense to have more than one type of fighter jet" is an odd argument to hear from a country that has more than 40 different brands of automobiles on the road, all of which have to be serviced separately and whose parts are not readily interchangeable. #Gripen #F35
“Arguing that a country of 40 million people “can’t” operate two fighter types and must use a single jack-of-all-trades aircraft is not a serious position.” #cdnpoli

Saskatchewan for years owned a portion of the growing potash industry through the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, now Nutrien, for strategic reasons. When those strategic reasons were satisfied those assets were sold to the private sector. #skpoli #cdnpoli

“Ottawa shouldn’t take equity stakes in private companies. A government seat in the board room raises the risk of political interference.”

It is not “Political interference” but would be Canada legally achieving its strategic objectives.

Scott Moe blaming B.C. for Nutrien wanting to ship Saskatchewan’s potash out of a new port they’re gonna build in the U.S.A. instead of saying “Sorry, if you do that guess you can’t get our potash anymore,“ to Nutrien executives, is peak blame someone else for your failure POS Scott Moe.

Is MAGA not the same as a cartel as defined by Trump & his cronies?
… US state department is adamant that the Cartel de los Soles not only exists but that it has "corrupted Venezuela's military, intelligence, legislature, and judiciary".
What is Cartel de los Soles, which the US is labelling a terrorist organisation?
The US says it is headed by Venezuela's president and other senior politicians, but some analysts say it does not even exist.

If Carney cancels the F-35, he will piss off DND who still want that plane so they can play with the big boys in the Pentagon. If Carney doesn't buy the Gripen, he will piss off everyone on every bar stool in every Legion and local across the country, because those people have made up their minds.

Russian Colonel Gen Makarevich, who blew up Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine in 2023, has been sent to Venezuela to lead Russia’s military advisory mission there.

By blowing up the dam, he killed around 200 civilians.

As I mentioned, Russia managed to use DJT to push Maduro closer to them.
