all of the apps above lets you view the same content from the bluesky social network. if youre looking for other non-bluesky apps thats also powered by the same underlying technology, the ecosystem of apps is called the atmosphere. theres live streaming at stream.place, blogs at leaflet.pub and etc

witchsky.app is like a mod of the bluesky app with extra features like a color scheme selector and a lot of other experimental new features created by the community. there are other mods like deer.social catsky.social etc
theres also alternative apps like my own reddwarf.app (not fully featured)

this fun event created this post --> bsky.app/profile/whey... which exists on my pds, is not moderated, but is not visible on bsky
If you missed it, i for a few hours, both that and this acc was isolated from the network. Three seperate relays independently stopped listening to those two accs. And then it randomly connected again. The process was documented in @lost.whey.party

i wonder if i can force a #sync event on my accs to fix the missing records that were created while the accs wasnt being relayed by any relays
I did nothing, it fixed itself. But like, all of the records i made before it fixed itself was never indexed by bsky

hi i really should explain this better inside the app but the tldr is that default following feed is run by bluesky and so it fails to load. you can work around this by subscribing to an alternative following feed (i have one here bsky.app/profile/did:...)

yeah thats fine, also no pressure if its not ready yet. ill be hosting my own instances of these services after i finish my midterms, so hopefully automatic fallbacks will catch any downtime

cool! i was using both constellation and slingshot. and i got confused between slingshot and spacedust. and no i havent used pocket yet.
thanks again for hosting these. also, can i include them in red dwarf for when i add a predefined list of instances to choose from?

dont forget to insert the lycan instance url in the settings page, and to index your account (theres a one click button in the search page). after that the "Import..." box should turn into the "Search..." box and you can now search from your previously interacted posts
