I think Elysium's prediction is probably the most likely one on this list. I can imagine it taking the ultra-wealthy about 130 years from our time to get to luxury residential orbital space stations where they could live year-round in artificial gravity.

FYI, these migrants that are being held at this concentration camp in FL are mostly guilty of a civil violation, not a criminal violation. It's like putting someone who is guilty of running a red light inside this torture box.
They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

Amnesty International, interviewing migrant detainees, identifies use of the confinement box. There can be no denying it is a torture prison

So corporations are now using algorithms to sell you algorithmic content that your mind and emotions have been tailored to respond to because we all live inside a giant algorithm? The horror!

This is so incredibly rare not just of celebrities but of human beings that it should be celebrated loudly. And not just because he moved closer to my own ideology but because he was willing to embrace epistemic humility at all. Very impressive!
Good on Penn Jillette. Having to come to terms with your entire political identity and philosophy being wrong is not easy and most people could never do it.

Pluribus is becoming a test of how pretentious I still think I am, and I'm failing miserably. It's turning "slow burn" into a psy-op. I'm sure if I let myself into the hivemind, it'll all start making sense and feel just right. But right now, most of Gilligan's choices are just pissing me off.

If you think any of Beck's lyrics in "Odelay" are profound, you're not in on the joke. As a fellow English major, I'm asking you to put down the crack pipe. It's just gibberish. Electric, hilarious, insane gibberish but gibberish all the same.

“It was me. That heinous fart that we’ve all spent the last minute trying to figure out who it was? It was me. When I saw that everyone was starting to blame this elderly gentleman to my right, I felt like I had to finally say something because blaming him for my heinous fart just felt wrong.”

"In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" was a temporal glitch of an album. It came out in 1998 and gave you a glimpse of what the 2000s would sound like, like you were stepping out of time.

This dude's affect - always with that forced geniality - is so off-putting. Like, damn dude, you're talking about job losses!
FOX: Year to date job cuts are up 54%. That seems like a troubling number. What's your take?

HASSETT: The flow of jobs in & out is a little higher, there's a little more turnover. A lot of times that can happen because people feel like they're actually able to get another job if they leave this one

What people don't understand is that hiring the least qualified, the most maladjusted, the most deranged people to be ICE agents makes for a more loyal, zealous, and unquestioning private army.
