Window updates on my Asus ally handheld have rendered the handheld unusable. Even after running Asus crate updates the handheld is so slow it's not even worth playing on. Factory reset and it was fine till I updated again. Downloading #bazzite os now to try it on device.

Just saw a stat that said something like 60- 70% of todays typical Internet traffic is AI and bots and about 30% is actually humans!!!
That's insane if true!

So coded a realtime fail over in game client. Now when there is network instability or drops, the client does a call back and request migration to another server and the backend hands off the IP and node info. The players see a brief pause and then their instance is moved and they continue playing.

So coded a realtime fail over in game client. Now when there is network instability or drops, the client does a call back and request migration to another server and the backend hands off the IP and node info. The players see a brief pause and then their instance is moved and they continue playing.
Agones automatically replacing crashed servers & ensuring 2 (or more) are always ready for players. Have hardware heartbeat working also running to monitor and alerts funneling to telegram.
So exciting to see dashboard light up!
Have it clustered on 2 proxmox servers both w 256gb ram already!!!

Have the proxmox os relinquishing ownership of GPU so I can assign it now to Vms. Took a bit but finally have it sorted. Now time to create a new template base os for my Agones backend which I will use to replace my older nodejs custom stack. It will scale better.

OH Almost forgot - I also fixed bugs w elevators & multiplayer. Now each elevator is queued so it fixes time delay I was experiencing w testers. Now I need to add elevator music, news and audible station broadcasts. Busy day.

Just migrated to 5.7.2 since it just came out - after spending almost a month upgrading from 5.4 to 5.7.1 - I figured why not try and see if 5.7.2 works since I'm in an upgrading sort of mood and it upgraded without an issue... thank the unreal engine gods! 😂

Just migrated to 5.7.2 since it just came out - after spending almost a month upgrading from 5.4 to 5.7.1 - I figured why not try and see if 5.7.2 works since I'm in an upgrading sort of mood and it upgraded without an issue... thank the unreal engine gods! 😂
Maps I am playing w adding enviro fog & dust particles. Since migrating to 5.7 environments have noticeable increase in speed due to the engine improvements so some of the vfx that I disabled for perf, I can improve on.

Maps I am playing w adding enviro fog & dust particles. Since migrating to 5.7 environments have noticeable increase in speed due to the engine improvements so some of the vfx that I disabled for perf, I can improve on.

I'm really happy with the move from #unrealengine 5.4 to 5.7 so far.
Between World Partition and Iris, the seamless world is now the "default" setting. Its so much more peformant and it's crazy how stutter free my current universe has become.

Catching up on #fallout season 2 and just watched episode 3 - wow. It really captures a lot of the elements that made the game so compelling. The acting, musical score and dramatic scenes sprinkled with action and comedy make a great episodic cocktail.

So was I given meta smart glasses over the holiday as a gift and am I being a jerk by not wanting them. I really don’t want my eyes connected to an Ai, especially an Ai being controlled by Meta.
I haven’t used them and thinking of asking for receipt to send back.

Have 2 amd workstations that hate usb devices… constant disconnects etc. my i9 doesn’t have an issue. I’ve known amd has issues with usb sound but it seems to have gotten worse with Microsoft #windows and amd driver updates.

Purchased #Insta360 Link 2 camera before holidays looking to upgrade webcam when I stream & i hate it - the thing overheats & shuts off mid stream around 1 hr - 2 hour mark a lot causing it to temporarily shutdown & restart.
Think I'm going to pick up the #obsbot meet 2 4k instead.
