All 3 have never heard of scratchboard before, despite them being in the art world for most of my existence lol

I've never made art professionally... I don't know if I could keep up... But they seriously have me excited for when I can try making something for them ^^

There were 2 local artists at the Gallery today when we went in, so she spoke with them about the potential she sees in me, made me show them this piece, and both were very kind with their compliments ^^

There's an older lady where I'm staying who spent most her adult life selling her crafts, working at galleries and shows and events, and even had her own gallery, and she's been pushing me to make stuff for a nearby Gallery ^^; This is the one that called out to her the most.

It was incredibly disheartening and I felt I was doing a horrible thing - that my approach was scummy or appeared too scammy...

Things are looking hopeful for me now so I'm hoping to regain traction on my page. Maybe I'm not as terrible as The Grand Algo(rithm) makes me feel 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm accustomed to small followings because I just don't produce enough content of any kind, that's on me, but I was *just* starting to gain traffic on my page when the nonsense happened.

My page basically vanished. If not for *one* kind follower, I wouldn't have received any support at all.

I don't make vids so I don't understand why you can say the words but not type the words?

But I've recently hit a darkest point in my life where I actually reached out to social media (just bsky) for support, trying to be transparent about my goings-on so no one felt exploited.

They may seem archaic to some, but they def have moments/ways that are beyond what modern society has become, leaving us in the dust. Lol

Humans were meant to exist, survive, and succeed together.

The community gathered up to at least show that no one was ever left to be alone and that I'llsupport was readily available. Everyone had an opportunity to understand the impact of a loss and provide a sense that no one is ever truly lost.

I just had a convo with a lady a few hours ago who told me of a time she worked with the Amish. One thing that really stuck out to her was how connected everyone was to their community. If someone passed, everyone gathered - regardless if they actually knew the person or not.

My main concern is that I'm only in this town a month (unless I find real housing here), when all my job apps are a minimum 10 miles away in my hometown...
I just have my li'l mountain bike ;w; 45 min ride for my poor leggies.

So many possibilities popping up and I'll wait to update on more!

Everything is just beginning and there's still plenty of room for error, but hopeful paths are opening up and I'll make it to at least one!

I'm very much exhausted... There's so much more to do, but I'm safe and "doing" is actually possible.

And I just found there's a PokeGym in my room!!
