I know I posted this one before, but I got a good shot in the lighting booth last night and thought I should share again.

If you'd like to help me clear out my studio I'd like to help you fill your kitchen with new pots! This Saturday (one day only, 10am to 3pm) is my annual seconds sale, where you can get oddities, experiments, demo pieces, discontinued items, and imperfections for half price or better. #pottery
Home again. And able to have a more relaxed look at these pots. Here's an ash glaze (that we call Miso Gravy) on a ship mug. Vinny's happy to have me home.

A few pics from the gallery in Letterkenny
Stop number two on the gallery tour - Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny Ireland. Here's Kym Greeley putting the final touches on her installation. More pics as soon as we finish install. Opening reception is tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks for the info, I'll definitely check it out
I'm arriving in Dublin tomorrow morning. Sad to have missed this exhibition.
Off on a little gallery tour now. They put my piece on the cover of the catalogue! The opening reception is tomorrow 2-4 at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery. The show looks amazing!

Thanks! It works about 50% of the time haha!
Nice colour combo on this thrown and altered porcelain vase. The bare porcelain flashes orange and the glaze is the perfect complement. The glaze is 50% granite, 20% quartz, 20% limestone, and 10% clay, all sourced from nearby.

2 - Sea salt shino on PSH 580 stoneware
3 - ??? (maybe tenmoku) on local stoneware
4 - Bone ash glaze (with actual fin whale skull bone ash!) on PSH stoneware

Ten rock samples ready to be analyzed for (hopefully) iron, chromium, manganese, titanium, nickel, zirconium and other glaze colourants.

Chop chop! Now that the fire ban is definitely, officially over (for real!) it's time to light the kiln. I even checked with my local volunteer fire department chief, just to be extra cautious, and he said "Have at 'er!" New pots by the end of the week!

Sounds like a good reason to make MORE pots.
I know your struggle. I'm at 9 clays right now, and four different firing temperatures :/
