"FBI seeks interviews with Democrats whom Trump called ‘traitors’

The Law of Rhetoric states that the ones who accuse others of being a "traitor" the loudest and most often is in inverse proportion to their understanding what the word means.

Near the end of Hegseth's "War Dept. Official Statement":

"All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful."

So there you have it. All orders are lawful. That rationale worked SO well at Nuremberg.

Says the Press Secretary for the 34-count felon.
Leavitt: "Not a single order this president or administration has given to our military has ever been illegal, nor will it ever be. This administration respects and abides by the law."

I'm gonna take a guess here that Rubio...the Secretary of State...had no fucking idea about this "Peace Plan", where it came from, who authored it and learned about the same way we all did.
This is beyond embarrassing.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that the U.S. “authored” a 28-point peace plan to end the war in Ukraine, after a Republican senator asserted that Rubio had distanced himself from the proposal and called it a Russian initiative.

Zohran Mamdani is no Mitt Romney.
An really important thing a lot of people don't realize about Trump is that he doesn't bully people he doesn't think he can bully.
Let’s be clear.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social got Trump so charmed that Trump posted two photos of the two of them with Franklin Roosevelt’s portrait behind them AND one of just Mamdani and FDR’s portrait.

Bold words from someone who had the power to stop all this from happening simply by having Senate (under his control) vote to impeach Trump in 2021. GFY, Mitch.
US Senator Mitch McConnell:

"Putin has spent the entire year trying to play President Trump for a fool. If Administration officials are more concerned with appeasing Putin than securing real peace, then the President ought to find new advisors. ...

And yet, the POTUS makes a public death threat against 6 members of Congress and...nothing. Hey, things happen.
This is some scary shit you guys. Two pillars of the community—middle aged white guys no less—arrested because some off duty cop bastard sitting several booths away in a restaurant claims to have heard them “plotting against law enforcement.” We’re in the “ears everywhere, trust no one” stage of it.

We've discussed before that the smart, long range political calculus for republicans would be to begin separating from Trump to avoid going down his reign of error.

I never thought Marjorie Taylor Greene would have been such a smart politician.

WaPo headline:
"White House blew past legal concerns in deadly strikes on drug boats"

You can start every sentence with, "White House/Trump blew past legal concerns in ___________" and fill in the blank on virtually any issue.

Like Trump, Richard Nixon had a very long enemies list. But no one on Nixon's enemy list ever feared for their life.

Well, this is good news, I suppose. Apparently Trump is throwing in the towel on the Midterm elections, expecting the Democrats to take the House and Senate.
“Only Trump could turn Thanksgiving into a shakedown. He’s already vacuumed billions out of his base with ‘emergency’ emails, fake deadlines, and invented crises — and now he’s crying poverty to fight an impeachment that doesn’t exist. It’s not leadership. It’s a lifelong con.”

Hey, Stable Genius..."What goes up, must come down" refers to gravity, NOT economics. You don't need to be an economist know that when prices go up on goods and services, they stay up. Tariffs made costs go up, but lowering those tariffs will NOT lower prices. That's how inflation works.

So there you have it, National Guardsmen deployed in D.C. (and every other city)...Trump's orders have been ruled "unlawful", therefore, you can ignore the orders and leave.
