As US population growth slows, we need to reset expectations for economic data.

Payrolls, GDP, expenditures, and income will all grow more slowly now that the immigration surge has ended. That changes how we interpret ... everything.

As US population growth slows, we need to reset expectations for economic data
US population growth has slowed sharply in the last year and a half, as the immigration surge of the early 2020s has ended and the population continues to age. Fewer jobs are needed to keep up with th...

So a government drowning in trillion-dollar deficits would borrow $150 billion more at 4.5% interest rates that taxpayers will be paying forever, in order to compensate us for higher tariff prices that they deny are actually happening. Makes sense.

This is the core proposition & selling point for reactionary thought: not that they are better, but simply that *everyone* is corrupt, everyone is a crook, everyone's just out for themselves, so you might as well get yours. That is the molten core of right-wing thought everywhere.

“Constitutional rights do not end when someone has an accent.” 🙌🏻
Sen. Garrett told a recent story from Greensboro where ICE agents broke into a house without a warrant and arrested a man based on a false tip and refused to look at his documentation.

Yes, getting off on watching YouTube clips of immigrants at their court hearings grabbed by ICE is twisted & cruel. But the cruelty is the point. The entire Republican Party base gets off on this cruelty. Nancy Mace is running for Governor in SC. She knows who she’s talking to.

In one swift moment, a traffic stop turned into a violent arrest.

Video footage of the incident show a group of officers detaining three men. Afterward, agents can be heard bragging and making light of the arrests, calling the use of a stun gun “funny”.

Absolutely surreal to watch White House reporters ask Leavitt questions about tariffs moments after she and Gabbard used this briefing to baselessly accuse Obama of crimes punishable by death. We’re a sick joke of a country.

📌The President of the United States posted a FAKE VIDEO TO THE WORLD of a kneeling Barack Obama being placed in handcuffs, and we are supposed go along like it is just another day.
Our press has so completely lost the thread it would be laughable if it wasn't so damn dangerous and disgusting.

Being unhoused in public is now a criminal offense.
