For #WorldWetlandsDay, we're shining a light on four of the 25% of Britain's threatened spider species that are wetland specialists. They're entirely dependent on aquatic habitats remaining wet, unpolluted and growing, not shrinking, in size and connectivity @naturalengland.bsky.social

If you did #BigGardenBirdwatch #bgbw at the weekend plz remember to send in your results.

As with other science, citizen science doesn't count for much, except personal entertainment, unless the data are shared and published. Sermon over.

Spot the huge #mole hill. Absolutely love these wee soil engineers! Why they are persecuted I’ll never know. Use the hummus soil for planters, mole hills means worms - healthy soil. Free drainage and aeration. #MolesAreNotPests
My opinion- love wildlife. 💚

Operation done but Atlas not out of the woods yet - he’s got the best doggy care ❤️‍🩹🙏🏻🐾🐾
Have been working on Atlas for just over 2 months.

He is a street dog who had nobody. This was his future. His ending.

In the last 48 hours we’ve been beside ourselves with worry but he made it. Look at those first steps ❤️

Huge thanks to everyone who shared pix of plants in bloom for tonight's #WildFlowerHour!
Can we also say a huge thank you to all the conservation volunteers who do such a great job on nature reserves across the country?
The unsung heroes & heroines of the wildlife world!
See you at 8pm next Sunday!
These Guelder Rose berries really stood out amongst the gloom of a grey damp drizzly day. I planted this shrub amongst others fourteen years ago on the local nature reserve that I was working on with volunteers today. (My brilliant volunteers stood out on a grey damp drizzly day too) #WildflowerHour
