The food was BBQ, mostly ribs, chicken legs, brisket slices, and some mac and cheese.

It surely was going to be filling, but Ross was also going to make sure that Rex and himself hit the gym heavily tomorrow.

Rex gave a noise of complaint that he'd have to move. He was hungry after that, though. It was a bit of a workout for him.

So, reluctantly, the human sat up. He wasn't wearing his jacket anymore but his undershirt was back on after the shower.

Rex was in peaceful bliss at that moment, cuddled up close to the hybrid. The claws caressing him were actually very nice.

He never thought he could feel like this. This simple bliss. This affection for someone. And after their moment, he was no longer scared if Ross felt the same.
