27 feels… weird.It feels like the last ten years of my life went by in a blink — and somehow also stretched on forever. High school feels like it was just yesterday, yet impossibly far away at the same time.There are moments where I still feel 17. And then there are moments where I realize how much has changed. I didn’t expect this life back then. I thought I’d be in the military, that I’d be someone entirely different.And while the path here involved a lot of stumbling in the dark, I somehow found a version of myself I’m proud of. I have two cats I adore, a person I see myself spending the rest of my life with and a group of friends I'm so thankful for every day. I started digital art and I’m wrapping up writing my first book—something younger me never could’ve imagined—and I’m so excited to share it once it’s ready.There have been many detours, heartbreaks, trauma, and sadness along the way. I’ve lost people I loved, lost friendships. Learned the hard way who my true friends were. I’ve faced health challenges too — being diagnosed with Lupus in May and learning how to navigate and manage this new chapter of my life.27 feels strange, but it also feels earned.Despite the detours, the uncertainty, and the growing pains, I’m grateful for where I am right now and for the people walking beside me.Here’s to the next ten years—for me, and for the people I love. 💚#digitalart #birthday #not17anymore #animation #procreateView all comments
