Military Intervention Will Not Liberate the Iranian People
Iranians are once again caught between their own brutal regime and the U.S. war machine. There has to be a better way forward.

ICE is a direct threat to our safety. ICE terrorizes our communities, ICE menaces our neighbors, and today ICE murdered a woman in Minneapolis. There is no excuse for any of ICE’s violence, no purpose beyond enacting Trump’s racist, authoritarian fantasies.

Trump's assault on Caracas is his foreign policy in a nutshell: reckless, illegal, and completely counterproductive. These actions won't improve the lives of people in Venezuela or the U.S and our thoughts are with those impacted by this violence. We’re watching the situation closely.

Today, Trump again tried to exploit the overdose crisis to grow his own power. Declaring fentanyl a "weapon of mass destruction" is simply an excuse to do more violence while continuing to fail fentanyl victims.

New reporting indicates that Trump is once again planning military strikes in Mexico to “combat drug cartels.” The truth is, U.S. strikes on Mexican cartels will only create human suffering and chaos. We know because we ran a tabletop exercise of this exact scenario.

The new operation would include U.S. troops on the ground in Mexico striking drug labs and cartel leaders, according to current and former U.S. officials, though a deployment is not imminent.
