I don't know if this is a hot take, but sometimes I feel like this industry treats people who have been in a codebase for a long time and wrote all the bugs as senior. Seniority to me means something very different than experience. Thoughts?

Can someone explain why people avoid typescript features like enum because they generate more JavaScript? Type safety is absolutely worth the tradeoff? Like, we have source maps, minification...the industry completely solved this problem a while ago? What am I missing
