Staff at the ABC have voted to reject management’s insulting enterprise agreement offer, which sought to undermine previous wins, stall careers and worsen job insecurity.
MEAA members at the ABC are not only fighting for fair pay and conditions but for the future of the national broadcaster.

This Bill includes a duty of care to ensure AI automation doesn’t risk workers’ safety through excessive workloads or surveillance. Unsurprisingly, big tech companies don't want unions to be able to inspect these systems to protect worker's health and safety.

For our ABC to provide Australia with the quality journalism we need, staff need to have secure jobs, sustainable careers and fair pay. Management's enterprise agreement offer will send the ABC backwards with cuts to job security and career progression, and pay that doesn't keep up with inflation.
