If I earn something, it should be forever, period.
Very possible. I know I use the hotkey to open Social rather than the menu, I wonder how many others do.

That said, they made Progression higher last season because of the overhaul and removed Career Profile. Personally I want a direct shortcut to Match History.
A new #Overwatch2 season is always exciting - so many tiny UI changes dotted around the place.

I've taken so many screenshots today - if you're also a fan of UI, go check out my account below!
Competitive Rank & Portraits are now displayed in Hero Select & Kill Cam for those who have completed placements.

Competitive portraits appear *on top* of hero portraits, providing an enhanced, combined look.

Unranked players only display the hero portrait, and no hero level text.

I have manually opted into Extended Security Updates. I should not be getting an alert asking me to install Windows 11.

It's bad all the way down.

Generally I try to use 60Hz/fps wherever I can, but it's not always possible. :(.
Also, fun UI bug, if you select "Role Queue" and select a previous season, it shows Hero SR (which wasn't yet supported) instead of Most Played.
Love the concept and can't wait to do placements this weekend.

That said, it's a bit silly that the Career Profile defaults to the Competitive dropdown and Hero SR as soon as you've played a single competitive match. It makes the profile look strangely empty.
I see a lot of Tracer in my near future.
It's confirmed! Hero Progression 2.0 brings "animated Ascended portrait borders" and the hero level badge to Hero Select, available at Hero levels 20, 40 and 60.

This is a fantastic way to reuse the portraits from Overwatch 1.

Digging through my old screenshots and conversations has been time consuming, but I love spotting little details like this.

I need to start taking full screenshots of every game screen for before/after posts..
In Season 14, the "Overwatch 1 yellow" friends online counter made its return, replacing the "Overwatch 2 orange" counter originally introduced in Season 1.

This is one of many examples of Blizzard subtly restoring previous UI elements piece by piece. I'll be posting more as I find screenshots!
The devs can be sneaky, but I see their efforts. 👀
Hello. 👋

Overwatch's UI has gone through many iterations, especially throughout Overwatch 2's life. I'm going to be highlighting the subtle (and not so subtle) changes as they appear!

I also have a backlog of recent things to appreciate, so I'll mix those in too!
I think it could work, but finding synergy with a duo requires *time*. You won't know each other's habits and strategies after one night ("episode") of games. You'd have to play together for at least a week or two ("season") before you find whether your playstyles mesh well. I'd watch it!
Settings -> Appearance, there are new options for Font Size and Density.
Well, this weekend was educational! Learned Gradle, Yarn, Fabric, Minecraft's world rendering pipeline (order of operations), Mixins, and that injection points *matter*.

I got the mod fully updated and working how it used to, but my favourite mistake was using camera position data.. oops.
This week I attempted to build a Minecraft Fabric mod. Never done it before.

Initially, every rebuild (with missing dependencies) took half an hour. Took me hours to fix.

Now, I have it building for 1.21.8, but it crashes on launch. It injects into a render function I need to update..
I'm live with some @07craft.com development! This week I started working on the Friends List functionality. It's pretty close to finalised, so come join me as I finish it up and test it!

Though, that said, AU$2,899 is insane for a base model with a screen that'll last only a couple of years.
Today has been a very entertaining day.

The Samsung Z Fold7 is the exact same thickness as the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 (outside of the camera bump, of course).

All they need to do is switch away from the flexible screen, and it might be on my radar as my next phone.
Very excited for this. Hoping it's an indicator of more to come!
And when we say "we recommend updating, as new releases have bug fixes" - we mean it!

It's also why it's imperative that if you experience bugs in your favourite open-source software, you report it to the developers! That's the only way it'll get fixed!
