While I've been in West Virginia, I've been using the dining area at Sheetz to work on my games. Now that I've left Elkins and am on my way to Arizona, all the Sheetz stations don't have electric outlets, and there's only a few days left in Cosmic Horror Jam. Damn the death of "third places."
I didn't get any work done on my game for Cosmic Horror Jam today, but temperatures were near freezing and I'm on a drive for survival from West Virginia to Arizona. I'm so close to finishing my game, I just hope I get it done before the end of the jam... and survive the trip. #IndieDev #GameDev
I am going to have to see if I can finish my game on the road. I have less than six days left in the Cosmic Horror Jam, but it will probably take me two weeks to get to Arizona at the rate I'll have to drive to make sure my car doesn't explode on me. #IndieDev #GameDev
I don't really want to leave West Virginia. I love it here, but I can't survive the winter. Frankly I hate Arizona, but that's the only place I have people I can stay with. I look forward to the day country roads take me back home to the place where I belong.
Ok, here we go. I'm leaving WV tonight for AZ. I only have a hundred bucks, but I'll be getting money trickled to me from my apprentice. I may not make it in one go but hopefully I get there before my tags expire at the end of the month. The open road is calling the Wandering Wizard once more.
It's quite surprising how scary you can get a game to be even with limitations in graphic memory, sound channels, and code that can only be up to 65500 characters, but MUSICK (previously called The Music) is shaping up to be a terrifying addition to the Cosmic Horror Jam! #TIC80 #GameDev #IndieDev
This is the coolest thing I think I've seen in a while. I have no idea who this girl is, but in my head canon this is what became of Penny from Inspector Gadget. youtube.com/watch?v=GWXC...

Did I just see an alien voiced by Danny DeVito get eaten by a mascot version of Danny DeVito? Rick and Morty be crazy, yo.
I've got quite a bit done on The Music, my #TIC80 game for the Cosmic Horror game jam. Here's what it's looking like right now...
I got the most perfect fortune cookie in history.
A screenshot from my #TIC80 game for the Cosmic Horror Jam... "The Music" is based on the HP Lovecraft story "The Music of Erich Zann." Each night, imps descend from the sky to destroy Paris, and only the violin music of a solitary madman can repel them! #IndieDev #GameDev #Gaming #WIP
Joined the Cosmic Horror Jam, and spent the first day working on the main game mechanics for THE MUSIC, a #TIC80 game based on HP #Lovecraft 's "The Music of Erich Zann." Screenshots will come when there's something on the screen, since it was all music notes today! #IndieDev #GameDev #RetroGaming
I'm starting the trip to Arizona this weekend, even though I only have enough cash to get me halfway there... It's still a trip I have to make if I want to survive. Since I finished my last #TIC80 game, I joined the Cosmic Horror Jam on itch.io and am starting another to keep me occupied and sane.
It isn't easy to make games when you are just barely surviving in a van in the middle of nowhere, but it's the only thing that keeps me sane. Please try the FREE Horror-themed Quickstart Guide to my universal #TTRPG and let me know what you think. the-wizards-tales.itch.io/the-house-on...

Delayed on leaving WV, with the temperature dropping into the 30s. Only a part of the money came through, but I'm leaving tomorrow anyway to begin the 1800 mile trek to AZ, where most of the worst experiences of my life took place. I vowed I'd never return, but it's my only hope for survival now.
Isn't it always the way... Before I lost my home and started living in my van, I envisioned a method for using cymatics to generate molecular structures which could then be used to form those structures from an existing medium. Turns out someone did it while I was languishing down by the river...
While sleeping in my van stranded in West Virginia, I've been keeping my sanity by making games. I just released a horror themed Quickstart Guide for my universal #TTRPG. Everything I make is free, but if you like what you see, maybe you could donate so I can survive? the-wizards-tales.itch.io

Well, not all the money I was waiting on came through, but it hits the 30s tomorrow night, so I have to leave now for a warmer climate. I've got 150 bucks in my pocket and I'm headed to Tucson, AZ from Elkins, WV, the next closest place I have friends. Not much chance I'm going to make it, is there?
The main reason a spell can fail is because somewhere deep down in the back of your head you think it will, even if your conscious mind thinks it's totally sold. Niggling doubt is a fearsome foe. Confidence is key. "To KNOW, to Dare, to Will, and to Be Silent."
I've been living in my van for months in West Virginia because it died on my way to Arizona. My only recourse was to spend the money I had saved for my move to get it fixed. Take a look at my free games and maybe pick one up for a donation to help out? the-wizards-tales.itch.io

Is it just me, or does every recent scientific advancement in the fields of neuroscience and quantum physics say exactly what I've been saying for the past dozen or so years regarding how the world works? If you don't believe me, read my book. It's documented.
I think America IS awake now. It just took too long and now it's too late.
The Apogee Universal RPG Engine has thirteen attributes, called Stats. "That's a lot!" some people say... well, yes, but you only choose your top three and bottom three! They are Agile, Brainy, Charismatic, Dexterous, Focused, Hardy, Intuitive, Lucky, Perceptive, Pious, Quick, Strong, and Willful.
Ah, #Arizona. I'm from Rhode Island, went to seminary in Virginia. I've lived in at least ten beautiful states and traveled through about 40 of them. But Arizona... No green, no deep sea-blue. The place where my wife died, where I was literally exiled from. I vowed never to return.

See you soon...
