So, the US has been quite proud about separating from a monarchy and not becoming one. The monarchy we left was a constitutional one, and the one Trump is trying to make us worse. So we’ve got the field covered.

I wonder how many of them already believed and what they believed regardless. And I wouldn’t be surprised if we wound up with an American National Catholic Church that caters to them and is not in communion with Rome.

Catholicism has a long history, much of it speaks ill of it too. But that doesn’t change the fact that it is a Christian faith and it has adherents that try to live accordingly like Christ.
