The masculinity crisis in Christianity is that people want to be Leonidas more than Christ.
What? No American National Workers’ Party?
They are also the same people who have banged on about the Constitution and then giddily went along with Trump ignoring it.
The same people who lost their minds over renovations to Cracker Barrel are totally fine with the White House getting bulldozed
Between Mike Johnson and Donald Trump, Arizona’s got grounds similar to the 13 colonies to leave the union. Yet those people who so loudly claimed to love the Constitution are content to ignore it!

We might as well seek reunion with Great Britain.
The SS Totenkopf is distinctive, even from the Prussian Hussars and German panzer versions.
I dunno. At a point in this country’s history where the Republicans have invested the executive in the hands of a would-be king, where shit’s going down that the founding fathers declared independence over, and nobody seems interested in enforcing the law pragmatism seems trite.
He lives in a little Internet enclave where real people don’t exist?
So… You can love the principles that the US was founded on and by, or you can oppose swearing in representatives and demand taxes without representation.
At this point, a Democratic Party that will be good for America will be working out how to purge every possible trace of the Trump Presidency, burn it to the ground, and ensure that Trump and as many of his lackeys as possible spend as long and uncomfortable a time as possible incarcerated.
“L’État, c’est moi!”
And that doesn’t excuse, exonerate, or justify monarchies.
TBF, George III was not the mad tyrant he’s been made out to be.
So, the US has been quite proud about separating from a monarchy and not becoming one. The monarchy we left was a constitutional one, and the one Trump is trying to make us worse. So we’ve got the field covered.

So maybe miss us with that bullshit self-righteousness.
I think it takes even more mental gymnastics to think that a definition carries more weight than deeds.
It reads like he’s trying to force that equivocation by rejecting any definitions or uses of “grace” that don’t lend themselves to his pedantry.
The Boomers are alright.

My mom’s UU congregation is both silver-haired and a presence at protests too.

Shit. Most of them may have protested Vietnam, some might have even been in on the Civil Rights movement.
The Brutii would like a word with you about that.
I do believe you are objectively wrong on some of those points, and that’s okay. I’m not gonna change your mind and you won’t change mine.
I wonder how many of them already believed and what they believed regardless. And I wouldn’t be surprised if we wound up with an American National Catholic Church that caters to them and is not in communion with Rome.
And people dedicating their lives to helping others, witnessing their faith, proclaiming the Gospel…

Catholicism has a long history, much of it speaks ill of it too. But that doesn’t change the fact that it is a Christian faith and it has adherents that try to live accordingly like Christ.
Honestly, given the state that things have gotten to and the number of amendments that have been made, not to mention how these United States have changed a new Constitution is not a bad idea.
Strategy games have much to answer for, very little of it good.
Fuckin’ Neoplatonists.

And it seems very, very obvious when you look at GOP thought since Reagan and trickle-down economics at the least.
