The big gas and oil companies have been having it their way for too long. We are calling for a 25% tax on gas exports. This would have raised $17.1 billion in the 2023-2024 financial year. Enough to build 50,000 new homes.

He and the PM are certainly major disappointments

There’s a lot to be said for timing. Siebold did much of the work bringing the current crop of players in, took the hits for the roster clean out. They were extremely young and inconsistent. More mature now and with fitness to endure.

Hey @albomp.bsky.social, what would The Donald say if an Aus company exported $17 B of American gas and didn't pay any tax?

Agree, nice work @campo37.bsky.social . Particularly like the observation that this is not the team full of superstars that past Broncos premiership teams were

Yep, they’ve definitely raised the bar (from Melbourne) with the extent to which they can slow the game down down. Astonishing how blatant some of it is and they rarely get penalised

Incredible how they’ve maintained the intensity for so long. Don’t know how they keep getting up for their style of physicality, yardage and no mistakes. I don’t think Brisbane could have played two tougher games to get to the GF.

He must have been a contender. I thought he was brilliant.

Helluva momentum swing halfway through that third quarter. My carry-on made the dachshund f-off behind a pot plant

The problem with our two-party-dominant system is that one team only need be slightly less shit than the other, and they can do anything. Current government is indeed quite shit. But markedly better than the other mob. They stay in govt if they stick to the shit ‘centre’

Why do we accept this level of incompetence from our regulators?

Agreed. There should be two collection plates passed around during mass. One labelled “may be used to pay legal fees for the defence of paedophiles”.

So the Australian Labor government have jumped at the chance to expel an Iranian diplomat on the allegation of anti semitic behavior. Meanwhile Israeli diplomats not only remain but lecture us as they blithely murder journalists, medicos, bomb and starve innocent children in Gaza and the West Bank 😏

Wow, damning stats. That waterfall chart tells a sorry tale. Has to be a combo of inadequate skills work and a solid lack of give-a-shit on behalf of the players. It’s like they mentally wrote the season off a quarter of the way in.

Quite challenging to name a bigger fuckwit than Rowan Dean. But yeah, they should totally take his advice….

Absolute tool. I can’t cop the constant negativity of these flogs
August 23, 2025 at 12:20 PM
Yeah. I think that style of football requires absolute team harmony to maintain the intensity and focus. If it’s off by a few percent then it can unravel. Sexton was obviously important to the team and more than just a jersey-filler.

I agree. Can’t see them being able to stop the whole thing unraveling.

Not unusual for these scum that specialise in class actions. Miraculously achieve settlements that exactly cover the exorbitant fees of the law firms on each side, with fuck all left for the claimants. Squid Games would be more interesting if it only contained class actions lawyers as participants.

Superb capture Sandy. It’s the skill and effort to be there at the moment that I really admire.

Yep. You cannot make this shit up. And if you did, it would be a script for a b-grade spoof like Idiocracy.
