I feel like the tileset also matters, the way the 3x3 room look feels ideal to me for a 1x1 dungeon tile, with the wall and floor brick density making the place feel less restrictive

bation and transistor are both like, 5-6h long, pyre is a bit longer and 15-ish hours, its very story focused too, otherwise they're all pretty compact games.
