I would have been out there in the spring to snatch up the morels before someone else did. I would have a camera reel full of fungi and flora and fauna and bonfires. Now it's halfway through July and I'm still mourning the spring flowers I never got to smell.

There was a time where I would have spent my summer in the woods. I would have happily jumped into the bushes, gotten covered in dirt and bugs, and accepted the filth with pride because I found a patch of beautiful mushrooms to document.

Being off work has resulted in me having no concept of time. Days flow into one another in this house. There are times I think it's been a day, maybe two, and then I look at the date and it's been a week since I've spoken to someone. Other times I think a week has passed, and it's been two days.

I know they aren't a cure but my life certainly can't be hurt by my moods not yo-yoing between opposite ends of the extreme every 2 weeks. I would like to be a part of a community again and to not have that drive crushed by the weight of existential despair every 3 weeks
