While Soviet espionage of the Manhattan project did accelerate their own research and development by 1+ years, the ambition to acquire nukes was an inevitability so long as their rival had them. The U.S. wasn't going to have a nuclear monopoly forever, and the very idea they could is stupid.

Beyond the fact the photo is from 1950, not 1953, the most egregious thing here is how they're trying to argue that the Rosenbergs were essential to the Soviet nuclear programme despite the fact the Soviet Union would have acquired nukes without the Rosenbergs.
