ADVENTure Tea Day 13:
Mint
Keeping with the minty goodness, this elegant yet simple blend of 2 different mints is commonly used in a lot of my tea recipes. Spearmint gives a nice sweet tangy flavour, and the peppermint has more of a bold, pepper character.

Sencha Asamushi
Today we stay in Japan, on the same farm in Shizouka, drinking their organic sencha. Asamushi simply means lightly seamed tea. When processing the spring and summer leaves they are cooked in a steamer for a short time,

ADVENTure Tea Day 9:
Houjicha
To Japan! We sip on a roasted tea today. Houjicha is a mix of leaf and twigs, aged, and roasted the traditional way in a clay pot over charcoal.
The tea brews a light, roasted with slight grassy notes. Lovely on a cold winter day.

This is one of my all-time favourite teas. I have a strong connection with the Lochans and the Doke Tea Farm. I very much consider them extended family, and Rajiv a mentor in my tea journey.

Today we taste another exciting tea blend. This festive tea starts with an Assam back tea from India with a generious amount of vanilla extract and vanilla bean.

ADVENTure Tea Day 6:
Earl Grey
Earl Grey is an old tea recipe, originally made by Italian sailors to combat scurvy on long ocean voyages. They would take black tea and add juiced bergamot fruit (similar to an orange and lime) then dry the peel and use that in the tea as well.

Lets jump on a plane to India! This tea is my take on a traditional masala (spiced) chai (tea). I start off the blend with a single origin black tea from Assam India.

Sakura Rose
Today we go to Japan for a unique tea blend. This tea is inspired by the Cherry Blossom festival in Japan. I start the blend with organic white tea, then organic rosehips, hibiscus and rose petals are added. The tea is finished with sakura (cherry) extract.

Nepal Black
We venture to Nepal to the Kanchajangha Tea Garden, nestled in the Himalayan mountains.
This second flush (harvest) tea is a brisk black tea that captivates with its fruity and floral aromas, rich caramel hints, and distinct notes of raisins, cherry, and dark chocolate.
