Pocahontas is horrible but it points to just how non-inclusive the 90’s were, even though it was supposed to be.

I once saw an episode of Bonanza (or similar show) where Nemoy played an Indigenous person.

Growing up, I thought we were so much more “advanced” than the 60’s….

….nope.

Also, I feel like sarcasm was a way of life in the 80’s and 90’s. I certainly grew up very sarcastic.

And whatever the reason, it’s a huge reason why Voyager is so much fun.

Also, it’s the best of Trek: lots of action, new aliens…. It was a great premise.

But that’s also because I disagree with his decisions. Like, a few episodes ago, Janeway is out of commission and the first thing he does is reverse her order. Ugh.

There’s something that always seemed either lacking or forced.

While it was great to include an Indigenous character, it feels like they only went half way…?

Chakotay is my least favourite character, even before Kim, now.

Yeah, having a non-Indigenous person play an indigenous person is horrifying (I think he has some Mexican Indigenous on his mom’s side, but… come on. How many Indigenous actors are there??!) and while I know next to nothing about various Indigenous cultures, /1

The Doctor is by far one of the top characters in all of #StarTrek.

But I also love how much more sarcastic Voyager is than the other ST shows.
