finally realized as I approach middle age that I love spontaneity when I'm the one instigating it but I often get very anxious and uncomfortable when people are doing spontaneity to me. would've been nice to figure this one out sooner.

an ok thing about daylight savings is I get to see the small black birds that gather in the big trees behind my work at dusk. about an hour before sunset they start arriving from all directions in groups of 4-10 until there are hundreds of them up there chattering. it's a nice thing I get to see.

everyone in my building besides me is a healthy looking normie looking 20 something office worker and when they see me outside smoking they look at me like I have leprosy except for one young couple who always smile and say hi and if this place burns down I will sacrifice my life to save them
