I've been holding off on sharing Ironside interviews here because so many of them are retrospective and talk about films we haven't covered yet on WSKRS, but it's one of the anecdotes in this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkAk...

Nah, “Mild Science” is pretty much it.
Welp. Now I'm hyperfixated on seaQuest again. I was looking for the complete series and saw this label on the box, but couldn't for the life of me figure out what it meant by "mild science" for longer than I care to admit. TBF, I had a fever yesterday and I'm still feeling not so great.

According to Michael Ironside, he was in jail immediately before filming Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone for punching a cop. He was given work release for the movie in order to pay back taxes.

This was supposed to be an interview about Dom DeLuise, but with his seaQuest sons it becomes something much more chaotic. Someone loses a sock: youtu.be/A1SOz3HLmmc

May we all be blessed to live in the world made in his image. Bananas be with you.
What if the only object that survives our civilization, the only thing by which aliens explorers can assess us in a million years, turns out to be... the Playmates action figure of the one-off SeaQuest DSV character The Regulator?

Let's mix things up today with a Don Franklin interview. He's on the Rick Dees show promoting Young Riders and the ladies in the studio audience (correctly) love him www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5zSYZ9_o8U

There will not be a new episode tomorrow. Please take an hour for quiet contemplation of the ocean’s mysteries instead.

Literally a season 1 cold open. I think seaWest?
In 2022, the Australian Institute of Marine Science reported the highest levels of coral cover across two-thirds of the Great Barrier Reef in decades. So why aren't scientists celebrating?

Hell yeah, brother
SeaQuest is one of those shows I feel like not enough people watched. I make references and just get stares. “What did you all even do in the 90s?!”

Mystery, sort of, solved! At least confirmation that the undersea launch base was filmed in an abandoned industrial location like we thought.
Some old abandoned power plant in a swamp in Florida. Really cool looking place, no need for much set dressing.

Jonathan Brandis appeared on Regis & Kathy Lee a few weeks into the broadcast of season 2. They were filming in EPCOT, practically just up the road from seaQuest's stages. Like so many of his talk show appearances it's mostly about the teen heartthrob life. www.youtube.com/watch?v=abiytLzAL_s
