Today’s GOP isn’t “conservative.” It reelected a man who tried to overthrow our Gov’t, who wants to destroy institutions, and who wants the Gov’t between a doctor & her patient. Conservatives believe in incremental change, in institutional knowledge, not one man.

But that’s not today’s GOP.
Kristi Noem is an idiot.
“We’re going to use everything at our disposable,” and “we’re going to persecute these people.” 🤦‍♂️

She’s also blaming Biden for Trump’s decision to grant asylum to shooter of the 2 guardsmen who were gunned down this week. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Exhibits A and B against the argument that women are too emotional to be trusted leaders are Trump & Hegseth.

If the second branch of government thinks it isn’t answerable to Congress, why does it also think the members of congress who made the “don’t follow illegal orders” are answerable to Hegseth or Bondi?

When Trump was asked about the release of the Epstein files, he called one reporter "piggy" and said another was "being insubordinate."

When Trump saw a video calling on the military to follow the constitution, he called for the death of the Democrats who made the video.

He's a tyrant.

NEW RULE: if the Epstein Files are released with numerous redactions, let’s assume every redacted name is Donald Trump.

Watch this asshole Texas cop throw a shoulder after a South Carolina touchdown in a game at Texas A & M. What a poor sport. I wonder if anything will be said about this.

I’m NOT defending Clinton’s Lewinsky scandal, but I find the reaction of people like Megyn Kelly indefensible. Back then, they said he took advantage of an impressionable young woman. Today it’s, “well, it’s not like Epstein was into 8-year-olds.”

Kelly was previewing Trump’s defense.

Operation Change The Topic From Epstein

Leaving aside whether Epstein was “into 8 year old girls,” has Megyn Kelly forgotten that these girls were trafficked for sex or has she gone completely insane?

Mark these words: Megyn Kelly just laid out Trump’s defense; “the girls weren’t like 5 or 10.”

Oh whoa!
As Karoline Leavitt concludes her press briefing and walks off, @andrewfeinberg.com asks: "What was the president doing with Virginia Giuffre for hours at Epstein's house?"

She did not respond.

MAGA was born from a conspiracy that there was a rich & powerful international ring of pedophiles, and God sent us Trump to take it down.

Yet now the “grab ‘em by the pussy” POTUS is fulfilling the worst fears of the conspiracists. How ironic and unsurprising to the rest of us is that?

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 94th day out of the last 106.

12 days of work in 106 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

John Thune’s outrage rang hollow, esp. when he said “at some point, the Gov’t runs out of $$.” That’s a truism, but it rang hollow given the drunken spending spree this Administration is on.

But we can’t fund SNAP (even tho there’s $$ set aside for it). It’s about priorities, Mr. Thune.

Never in the history of the US has any president openly and repeatedly called for the investigation, arrest & prosecution of his political opponents. While many continue to shrug these things off and normalize them, I will never stop pointing out that this is what autocrats do.

Watching an old movie called Cursed, which includes Scott Baio as himself. When I saw him, I thought I remembered that he was a Trump supporter, so I asked AI. See the question I asked. Fair warning: don’t eat or drink as you read the attached.

Each time Scott Bessent speaks, he sounds even more idiotic.

Could it be that the real reason Johnson hasn’t yet sworn in Adelita Grijalva is because there’s that much evidence in the Epstein files the Administration needs to destroy?

Chris Murphy: "There's a lot of history that has taken place in the East Wing & it was just destroyed without any conversation in the public, without any consent of Congress. It's absolutely illegal. That visual is powerful b/c you're watching destruction of the rule of law as those walls come down"

The 90,000 square foot ballroom at a cost of $250 million (guaranteed to go up) at a time when many people are struggling to put food on their tables, is the 21st century equivalent of “let them eat cake!”
