I am beginning the journey of "processing" my best bud Colin's passing yesterday. It was on the cards - cancer of the oesophagus is one of the shittiest ones, but we were hopeful, especially after he had a brief upturn 3 weeks ago.

Is it getting harder knowing where to pay for a meal at restaurants these days?

Will you bring the bill to my table? Or do I need to go inside, and if so, do I need to know my table number? Does the server have a machine? Will you tell me how to pay, or do I need to figure it out myself?
