Across Scotland, our arts projects are bringing #NationalCycleNetwork routes to new creative heights 🎨

Here's an example from North Ayrshire 👇

In 2024 we collaborated with @impactarts.bsky.social, Bespoke Atelier and young local creatives to transform a riverside underpass in Irvine ✨

We 💙 the #NationalCycleNetwork.

In 2024-25 we got busy:

🪏 constructed 27km of new and improved routes
🚧 removed 507 access barriers
📍 upgraded 153km of signage

Well done to all the schools that took part in this year's Leg it to Lapland challenge ☃️

We had almost 5,000 pupils from more than 30 schools getting active on their way to school 🚶👨‍🦽🚴‍♀️🛴

They clocked enough miles to reach Lapland over 20 times! 👏

"I always thought I would never be able to ride a bike" 🚲

Meet Zeeshan, a Primary 7 pupil in West Lothian we’ve reached through our I Bike Schools programme.

Zeeshan has a physical disability and dyspraxia, which have always stopped him from #cycling – until now.

We are saddened to hear of the collapse of the Garmouth Viaduct over the weekend, a key link on #NationalCycleNetwork Route 1.

Moray Council have advised the bridge will remain closed until further notice, and we urge the public not to approach the area for their own safety ⚠️
