It's a bad habit of mine to try and crush Vacs whenever they're being used. Fortunately this charger fell for it.

Actual hail swaths per MRMS MESH >= .75", colored by measured hail size. I'm not sure when the world will be ready for this kind of data but it sure is sweet
Nimbus clouds are the shape of me
We're almost to the module about me! /j
I could give a much longer answer than this if they allowed the space. Alas I must give a short answer.
I'm nervous to even do this though. Like yeah anyone I could ask has the potential to not answer my question/ignore me, that's just life. But the other people I'm sure would be happy to tell their story to an aspiring meteorologist who is still a bit lost on what she wants to do in the field.
My uni's AMS club with Dr. Cameron Nixon made me realize I should probably ask different meteorologists how they got to their career path and why those chose that, because I really don't know what I want to do in the field, just that I wanna do *something*
Got my sem 2 schedule figured out, only 4 classes this time. Managed to snag another weather-related course early because I'm ahead lol. Now time will tell how I handle Physics 1, Calc 1, an English class, and a course over severe and hazardous weather.
Had a dream I was trying to meet some of the meteorology people I follow here on bsky but we also all werep participating in a bicycle race??? It was weird
He showed us some of the data he gathered/researched and it was really interesting to see how the storms that produced the largest hail tended to be much shorter while the longer hail events didn't have as large of hail typically.
My uni's AMS club had a meeting with Dr. Cameron Nixon today! We learned some stuff he hasn't even revealed to his co-workers yet which was so cool :)

The fabled duck duck goose....
Okay so, I gave the speech earlier today. Prof said I had excellent delivery so I think it went well
Giving my speech on the Fargo F-5 tornado today. Can't go on as long or into as much detail as I'd like but it's whatever, I still get to yap about a tornado :)

As I was reading into this, at least 3 other students in my weather and climate class were looking at this same report as we were waiting for the professor to show up lmao. We all have the same braincell
While I hate how frequently people argue over a number for a tornado's strength because it reduces suffering down to a single number, this being the first EF5 since the Moore 2013 EF5 is still notable. Hopefully this won't cause people to point at other tornadoes and go "what about this one!!!"

Shutdown Meira, Day 2 / ??

Essential government workers still have to work without pay. Meira is taking her job seriously, making sure the atmosphere behaves and stays convectively stable through dutiful Skew-T/Log-P thermodynamic analysis.

(Don’t tell the government but I’m paying her in treats)
