MicroSeq2025 is an online meeting being held on September 3rd and 4th, focused on research being conducted on sequencing data generated from microbiological samples (bacteria, fungi, and viruses). MicroSeq2025 will feature four plenary speakers: Dr Peter Mee from Agriculture Victoria Research, Dr Leah Roberts from The University of Queensland's Centre for Clinical Research, Dr Rose Collis from the Hopkirk Research Institute, and Dr Jackie Mahar from the Australian Animal Health Laboratory & Health and Biosecurity, Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness, CSIRO. The best virology talk ($100) is sponsored by the Australasian Virology Society. The People's Choice awards for best talk ($100) and best lightning talk ($50) are sponsored by Microbial Genomics. In 2025, the new Innovation in Bioinformatics prize ($100) is being introduced.
