Sure, those providers could technically do what extensions do, but it’s like giving a random program kernel-level access. Any dev can make an extension and grab tokens and cookies, but for big companies there isn’t enough incentive to actually do that.

Review the permissions and uninstall any you’re not confident about. A lot are fine, but the risky ones aren’t worth it.
