What is typal? Previously called “tribal” (lower case). A WotC R&D design term meaning “creature type matters” as a theme of a deck. It was a big focus during the Onslaught, Lorwyn, Innistrad and Ixalan blocks. As of the Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set (June 2023) R&D switched over to the term "typal”. Typal does not appear on magic cards.

Love that the High Court ruled that prescribing Palestine Action as a terrorist group was unlawful but as they also ruled the ban must remain in place until a future hearing, the BBC must remind its reader that expressing support for them will get you arrested.

Normal country.
As a reminder: The group has successfully challenged the ban, but expressing support for Palestine Action or taking part in its activities remains a serious criminal offence.

Why is AI theft? AI developers have argued that AI training is protected under “fair use” and does not involve making copies of copyrighted work. Copyright holders argue that it infringes their rights and that image generators can create nearly identical copies of some copyrighted images and that genAI now competes with the content they are trained on. Artists are losing income because people are generating images based on their stolen art instead of hiring artists. Nearly identical copy of a copyrighted image>>>

What is Gen AI? Generative Artificial Intelligence A subfield of artificial intelligence that uses generative models to generate text, images, videos, audio, software code and other forms of data. These models use the underlying patterns and structures of their training data and use them to generate “new” data in respons to input. This training data is regularly obtained without knowledge, consent or compensation.
