Just realised in over four decades of buying Spectrum tapes, I've never actually seen the original packaging for Short Circuit, only ever as part of Magnificent Seven (and later Hit Squad re-release).

Eleven years after its debut, Games Workshop's boardgame, Talisman, reached its third edition in 1994!

Geoff Taylor's fiery art rampaged onto the game's big box and White Dwarf's August '94 cover. New tweaks to its light RPG trappings along with a new board (and miniatures!) freshened things up.
Talisman is an exciting fantasy board game set in a world filled iwth magic and monsters. You are a heroic adventurer on a dangerous quest to retrieve the legendary Crown of Command. But first you must find one of the magic Takismans, battle your way to the Wizard's Tower and defeat the mighty Dragon King in mortal combat. There are 11 characters to choose from and each one has their own special abilities and weapons. For example, the wizard can cast powerful spells, while the Minotaur is a formidable fighter armed with a huge axe. Before you enter the Wizard's Tower you will spend some time adventuring in the outer and inner regions of the board. here you must try to improve your skills until you are strong enough to challenge the Dragon King. THE TALISMAN BOX CONTAINS * 11 plastic Citadel Miniatures * Large colour fold-out board * 4 page easy-to-follow rules booklet * Over 200 game cards * Dozens of countries and playing pieces * Talisman painting guide * Game dice White Dwarf is a magazine published by Games Workshop focused on many of their products in the RPG tabletop space. It first came out in 1977 and continues to run today, though its focus has shifted more to Games Workshop's miniatures related titles. The cover art seen here is by Geoff Taylor.
