i hope they've got a rework planned for it next expansion because while its animations are very flashy it feels like half of a Job right now (and barely like anything below level 80 or even 90). the 'two blades into polearm' gimmick feels wasted on it at the moment...

strangely enough actually protective guards seem to have been primarily a european and/or indian thing, most examples of swords from other cultures only had something there to prevent the hand sliding up the blade (if even that lol)

honestly hair mashups scare me more than gear, the models are (deliberately) such a mess and there's very little you can do to hide seams and the like in comparison...

unfortunately there's always been very little overlap between 'characters whose writing i like' and 'characters whose design i like' when it comes to this game, neglecting the latter just used to be easier when we were all in it together 🥲
