He's doing it again
I predicted he would walk back the tariffs. It's a way to manipulate the stock market, which he did last time around. Day traders can make money in a volatile market & capitalize on price fluctuations, especially when they know what's driving the market. I wonder who is buying low this week.

How is this ok? @hcrichardson.bsky.social casually mentions that she's being shadow-banned on Facebook. www.youtube.com/live/fUR3qFT...

Lesotho is a tiny landlocked kingdom; an enclave, surrounded by South Africa. Unlike you, Trump pronounced it correctly (luh-SOO-too.) It's a tell? It makes me wonder about Musk's involvement with the first part of his speech. Did they brainstorm together? And what might be Musk's beef with Lesotho?

I so appreciate your analysis, looking at underlying principles and consequences of Trump's strategies. Here are two things to consider...

Sir Winston Churchill wore his air-raid suit during his 1942 White House visit, deviating from the formal dress code.

The air-raid suit, also known as the siren suit, is a one-piece outfit that was designed to be quickly put on and taken off on the way to air-raid shelters.

The German word “Ruchlosigkeit” translates to “ruthlessness,” “wickedness,” or “villainy” in English, depending on the context. It refers to a lack of moral scruples, a disregard for ethical considerations, or extreme unscrupulousness.

If Kathy Hochul, Gavin Newsom & J. B. Pritzker were the leaders of the biggest EU countries would they always speak as one? And would they be able to keep all the other Dem governors aligned, with a couple of Rep governors thrown in the mix too? All while keeping the support of their voters...?

“Just leave us alone. You’re making our lives absolutely unbearable.”

Carla Antonelli (@carlaantonelli.bsky.social) is the first openly trans person elected to the Cortes Generales in Spain. Hear her voice!

I, for one, don’t think Governor Pritzker is overreacting or sounding the alarm too soon.

Thank you for your courageous leadership.
Tyranny requires your fear, your silence, and your compliance.

Democracy requires your courage.

At a presser, Trump says about Ukraine:

“I’ve been watching these people being killed at levels you’ve rarely seen, not even close since WII.”

“Their cities are being knocked down.”

No member of the press asks him to clarify who is doing the killing and knocking down. It is painful to watch.

Did Musk fire hundreds of Federal Aviation Administration employees to increase "efficiency"? I don't think so. There is a better explanation:

While Europe grapples with cognitive dissonance about the potential loss of US support, I wonder if the leaders gathered in Paris are considering the possibility of not just losing an ally but gaining an enemy. After all, Greenland is Danish and Canada's head of state is the British king.

Leadership is often conflated with managing people. True leadership is the willingness to take a stand, even alone. It requires integrity, courage & holding onto principles under pressure.

Danielle Sassoon demonstrated moral leadership by refusing to comply with a directive she believed was unjust.

"May you be happy, may you be peaceful, may you feel the love inside you and share it well." —James Baraz

My dear friend and mentor Joan Judson shared these words, which are based on Metta phrases (expressions of lovingkindness for ourselves and others.)

Happy Valentine's Day!
