Het meest voor de hand liggend is dat Europa het luchtruim van Oekraine vrij houdt van Russische vliegende objecten. We hebben daar de middelen voor, maar we durven het niet want we zijn o zo bang voor Poetin. En als Putin straks Amsterdam bombardeert is het te laat.

In Nederland (in Europa) is er wel investeringsgeld, maar niet voor risicovolle projecten. Er is ook geen kennis over risico-investering.

Een voorbeeld van "uitvinden wat er nog niet is" is de blackberry of de iphone. Het www. De personal computer. Paypal. Niet de elektrische auto, want auto's waren er allang. Wel de auto, voordien waren er rijtuigen met paarden.

TNO heeft gekeken naar innovatie in verkiezingsprogramma's. Eén soort innovatie vind ik daar niet in: het uitvinden van dingen die er nog niet zijn. Dat gebeurt ook in ons land, maar er is geen infrastructuur voor het financieren ervan.

Seriously, in stead of pointing AI research and development into a new, more meaningful and responsible direction, we (Netherlands, Europe) follow US tech bros billionairs road to self destruction. So many ways to innovate, our leaders choose to be copy cats.
