Wild Monkey is back to rip roaring form here. I really enjoyed this ride & so added some thunderous tunes. Why not come with me on a crazy spin down to the Sagami River & a ride through rice fields to the end of the trail? There's plenty to see! Peace x #cycling #japan peertube.wtf/w/ivPYWzGuuN...

You chose a nice ride for your last day out on the bikes here! It's a good one, huh? I pop out there 2-3 times a year...Glad you enjoyed your trip. Fingers crossed for clear skies in Tokyo...You can get up high and wonder how all that concrete steel and glass came to be...Safe journey home! Peace πŸ‘ŠβœŒοΈ
A lot of the Japanese hardcore is truly insane, though. They take things to another level and it's not always in the right spirit. A lot are into actual violence & that's it! Slang are cool. Anarchists into the ideal. Anti-racist. Their new album is against the rise of fascism & the right-wing.
I've listened to this a few times. All I know is they're from Sapporo as well - like Slang - & one of their guys played in Blood Thirsty Butchers. Good stuff.
I don't know this band at all. I'll try to find out more....Cheers...

Random Bike Pic. I came across this Bridgestone Express Generation One outside my local second-hand shop. It wasn't for sale. the bloke riding it was buying a winter jacket! Maybe next time... #cycling #altcycling #diycycling #tokyo #japan
The current DIY hardcore punk scene is on fire. There's just so much good stuff out there. So much PWYL/NYP (Pay What You Like/ Name Your Price) in the true spirit of the scene. If you liked Poison Idea check this out @mikeroneniner.bsky.social #punk youtu.be/mFYL506yeTc?...

Hi Everyone! Here's Wild Monkey's latest bike riding video. It's familiar territory for regulars but there's still plenty to see as I take to the gravel heading west on the Tama River. The hardcore punk on this one rips! Enjoy! Peace x #cycling #punk peertube.wtf/w/mmpFoGaN5y...
Cycling in Japan: Tama River Campsite Gravel Ride
Hi Everyone! If you like bikes and punk, why not come for a spin along the Tama River cycling road & head through an urban campsite on some gravel? This time we head west. It's a ride-along vid...

Nice one. The book reads really well. Just plain common sense. If there's anything that's gonna get anyone fired from a job, it's usually that!πŸ˜†
I like Rune as well. I saw an interview with him somewhere and he's a steel and rim brakes guy. He gets it. Nice bikes. Doesn't Marcus at Probably Riding have one?
She should've taken the bus. Or taken a bike... Would've been fun to put the handbrake on, get out and deflate her front tyres right in front of her....Maybe dangerous in Amerikkka, though...Sorry for diving in here in your comments...Peace🚡✌️
Black Mountain will probably be my next bike. Most likely a Monstercross. I only really need one bike and this can do it all. Bluelug have the dealership in Japan and Chuyan suggested one for me last tme I popped in. That said he also tried to get me to buy a Riv!πŸ˜†πŸš΅
Hi Clockwork! It's been a while...There's a great book by Gareth Dennis called How the Railways Will Fix the Future. You might've already read it, but if not, it's worth buying. He's a left-wing railway engineer who lives in York. Someone like him should be put in charge over there.πŸš‹πŸš΄β€β™€οΈβœŒοΈ
Tokyo is something else. Citywise, it's the real deal. A lot of people overuse the word awesome, but it is literally awesome. If you're in the Shinjuku area, you can go to the observatory on the top of the Tokyo Metropolitan GVNMT building. It's free & you'll see the whole city on a clear day.
This is for cycling friends that like their music old skool as well as their bikes. Check out this great interview with Remain (DIY, Straight Edge, Vegan, Anti-fascist band from Dresden). While I'm not really a big Youth Crew fan, these guys are keeping it real. diyconspiracy.net/remain-strai...

Shit Bro, you said it...but...The day I go tubeless is the day I sell all my bikes and don't have any tubes. Except for toothpasteπŸͺ₯πŸ˜„ Why on earth somepeople don't have the patience to just change a tyre, even in the rain, I'll never know...all that messing about with gunk...aaargghhh!πŸ˜‚
That guy exudes fun. Always smiling & joking!πŸ‘
πŸ˜‚ They look like regular Japanese, countryside mountain roads to me πŸ˜‚. You get used to it...and your driving skills improve, too. Most people know how to handle their vehicle. The key is, relax but concentrate πŸ˜‚ Bravo for doing it right and not coming on a package tour of the cities.πŸ‘
Just back from Komadeike in Nagano, Japan. No bikes this weekend as it was a bit too far for an overnighter πŸ˜† & the Yatsugatake mountain range rises to over 3000m. The autumn colours were great & it was a nice place to camp. Peace x #camping #japan #cycling #nature
I was just gonna say that's a Hercules from Birmingham, England. They were cheaper competitors for Raleigh from Nottingham. Both brands were good.
Sunday morning bike ride along the Asakawa, Tama and Oguri rivers. It was another grey day. #cycling #tokyo #cyclingphotos
Alas, I think you're right. I'm originally from the UK & it's following a similar path but in a typically British way. They pretend to be nice & are prim & proper but are as thick as pig shit. Then there are the true lumpen-proles who can barely string a sentence together...
