So for safety I still often put my email texts through Deepl to avoid writing dodgy German . The problem is, German has different pronouns for singular and plural "you" and also a formal and an informal mode, so I got into the habit of writing "y'all" for plural and "you guys" for informal. :-)

So, I teach English (as a 2nd language) to a bunch of hyperactive 7th graders. Tthe Cotswolds in England came up in class, including Stratford (u.A.). So I just HAD TO ask them if they knew who the guy in the picture was. Surprisingly, some of them did! Someone said... (1/🧵)
