#OPINION "In Louisiana, more than 200,000 people could lose coverage under Healthy Louisiana. Many don’t even realize that Medicaid is the coverage they rely on: for themselves, their kids, their aging parents, or their disabled loved ones."

Republicans voted to defund PBS and NPR to quiet facts they can’t control.

They don’t want your kids learning from Sesame Street. They want corporate propaganda. 2026 is right around the corner. Let’s vote them out. #Grangerforla

Since the spring, federal agents have been patrolling government buildings in New York City, waiting to arrest migrants as soon as they step out of a courtroom, regardless of the status of their case.

The Young Democrats of Louisiana reject unauthorized war, blind loyalties to foreign militaries, and reckless decisions that put American lives on the line. We demand diplomacy, not destruction. Call your reps. Speak up. Demand better.

Text “resist” to 50409 to contact Congress now.

The U.S. President just bombed Iran without Congress and praised Israel like a best friend. That’s not leadership, that’s blind allegiance to escalation.

After last night's assassination attacks in Minnesota, we continue to keep State Senator John Hoffman and his wife in our prayers.

Our heart goes out to the two Minnesota politicians and their spouses who were shot last night in their homes. There is no room for violence in politics which uses fear to silence opposition. Louisiana is mourning for the late Rep. Melissa Hortman.

A man impersonating a police officer assassinated a Democratic state legislator in Minnesota, Gov. Tim Walz said on Saturday, and killed the lawmaker’s husband. The assailant also shot and injured another Democratic lawmaker and his wife, officials said. nyti.ms/4jRTrvw
A black card with white text that reads: "Minnesota Lawmaker Is Assassinated in Act of ‘Targeted Political Violence’ A person pretending to be a police officer assassinated Melissa Hortman, a Democratic state representative, Gov. a separate shooting. June 14, 2025"

Trump's actions in LA are disgusting in so many ways, and they're taken right out of Donny's favorite Project 2025. Don't let this become normal in America! Speak out!

The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle.

Don't give them one.

Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.

Louisiana knows all too well how quickly things can go from calm skies to crisis. That’s why we’re urging everyone across the state: don’t wait to get prepared. Water. Food. Meds. Devices. A plan. Even if it’s a quiet season, it only takes one to change everything.

Pride has always been and will always be a protest.

And with everything happening in Louisiana right now, we still have plenty to protest.

We’re not backing down. Not now. Not ever.

On this day where we honor our fallen soldiers, Trump -like always - made it about himself despite not serving a day in his life. He didn't even mention the sacrifice of thousands of soldiers. Shame on you, Donny - America's sacrifices will always be stronger than your hate.

Louisiana has lost heroes in every generation. Today, we remember and honor them.

🗣️ A proposal that would have pushed more Louisiana youth into adult court has been blocked—an important win for juvenile justice. Our kids deserve compassion, guidance, and the chance to grow; not to be thrown into a system that wasn’t built for them.
