They also added back a third window on the second storey facade, which is a huge improvement. Here's what it looked like before.

I suspect this house is utterly unsellable at this price in its current state. Perhaps someone will pick it up for cheap when it's foreclosed on and at the very least have a very liberal paint budget. It wouldn't be the first time that happened.

The listing describes "manicured landscaping, ready for seed" – a contradiction in terms if I've ever seen one. Apparently nine hundred grand doesn't even get you a lawn, much less anything that can be described as manicured.

Needless to say, the colour schemes are atrocious throughout.

All that fancy cabinetry, tile work, and countertop capped off with a cheap shower insert.

Almost a million dollars and 3000 square feet and this is the kitchen?

The listing description is almost as bad as the house, describing this as a "culinary masterpiece". Don't we usually reserve that term for food, not the place where it's prepared?

By the way – this is not the first house built by this person to feature these ceilings and other similar features. His homes are instantly recognizable when they come on the market.

Moving inside, the first thing anyone will notice are the "designer ceilings". A well designed tray ceiling can be a nice feature, but the same cannot be said for these monstrosities.

First of all, what is going on with this siding? It appears every side of the house has this treatment. Who thought this was a good idea?

Somehow we've never featured this absolutely insane house in the middle of nowhere in Hoyt. With five bedrooms and three bathrooms on 10 acres, it's been on and off the market for at least two years and is currently listed for $899,900.

Let's take a look. 🧵

Yeah, aside from perhaps doing something to address the odd ensuite layout I wouldn't be moving any walls or anything. If someone does renovate hopefully they maintain some of the original character of the home.

Perhaps not quite $2M but with the right renovations it's certainly a seven figure property.
