As a Brit, our experience of any international political discussions on social media feels like waking up every morning to find the room has been on fire since 11pm last night.

Socialism is when JBP looks sad. Communism is when JBP has a cry

I'm the estate agent and this story is bullshit

I understand what you're trying to say. It just doesn't do anything for me. You're stating an extremely banal and obvious thing because you're trying to make a point. But it's a silly point.

Because they don't get to do it often we should ignore them if they do 👍

Which part?

This is a very silly take and makes you sound like a tech bro. David Lynch was a filmmaker, artist, and actor. The LLMs he might have an opinion about were likely trained on data of content he created and LLMs are trying to occupy the creative field he existed in. His opinion is much more important

I care what David Lynch thought about LLMs. It isn't going to affect my own opinion, but I enjoy hearing other people's pespective especially when they are known for having a unique view of the world.

Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare.

"Things are subjectively OK for me so when other people say things are not OK they are objectively wrong" is one of the easiest ways for liberals to radicalise themselves

Wait you mean you won't be buying Timothee Chalamets breakout mahjong adventure game?

So your entire point is "It's ok to make fun of people's appearance when it's people I don't like. And if you call me on it then you're a white knight and an outrage merchant and you have no authority to question me".

That all sounds pretty fashy to me

Like... what else could they possibly want?!

What confuses me was Ciri was always the subject of (very creepy) sexualisation by these people and the way Witcher 3's story went, it was always the logical conslusion that unless the next game was gonna be a totally new school/story it would end up being Ciri.

Something, something be better than the people you are arguing against, I suppose.

I can separate someone's political ideology and the harm they do to other people from the way they look and trying to take pot shots at their mental health. I don't think it's an especially controversial opinion that we should generally refrain from diagnosing people based on how they look...
ygbska.bsky.social
It's not outrage or white knighting. Me asking you not to do something isn't me accusing you of anything. I'm just suggesting that commenting on someone's apperance in a thread disparaging someone commenting on someone's appearance isn't especially tactful or helpful.

One person's virtue signalling is another person's basic compassion for other people.

Since I asked my question first I'll happily give you my answer after you give me yours.

I'm not starting a fight with you and I would really recommend against assuming such an aggressive stance. I'm literally asking you not to make uninformed guesses about someone's mental state based on their appearance and I've been polite the entire time.
