When my daughter was in elementary school she did her black history report on Assata Shakur. Her yt teacher was appalled that I allowed my child to do her report on "a cop killing fugitive" I made a point to let that teacher know, I didn't allow it, I encouraged it! ✊🏾
Pay attention to the same Black folks white America like to highlight + feature every BHM. It's always the limited "good ones" MLK etc. If you have school age kids teach them about the ones they don't want talked about.
