On 11 Nov. 2019, ISIS detonated two car bombs in Qamishlo (NES), killing five people and injuring 26. On the sixth anniversary, the families of the martyrs held a ceremony to remind the fallen. It is also a reminder of the danger still posed by ISIS and that the fight must continue.

On October 12, 2025, women from all over Syria launched a campaign calling for a democratic, free and decentralized Syria with women at the forefront. Now women from all over the world answered, supporting these demands.

NOW: A military and security delegation from North and East Syria is in Damascus. The delegation is expected to discuss military and security issues. Among others commander Sozdar Derik is part of the delegation.

Today we remember the assassination of Hevrîn Xelef. She was killed on October 12, 2019 by Turkish backed militias. Even though the Turkish state and its militias repeatedly target women, women's vision of a free life cannot be killed.

The historical resistance in Kobane, with the vanguard of women, remains a vivid memory to this day. The courage of women defeated the cruelty of ISIS. On the anniversary of Arîn Mîrkan's self-sacrifice action in Kobane, we remember her and martyr Rêvana Kobanê.

The violence continues! A few days ago, another massacre took place in Suweyda, a region inhabited by Druze people. The voice in the video repeats: ‘Massacre,’ ‘Oh God,’ and ‘Children and women.’

Rivana Rojava und Arîn Mîrkan - two women who felt martyr in the heroic battle of Kobane. With their stance they did not just repel ISIS militarily, but broke the jihadist mentality by showing the strength and determination of women. YPJ honored the two fighters with a military ceremony.

ISIS is taking advantage from the chaos in Syria. Since the now interim government took power on 08.12.2024 until 20.09.2025, ISIS has carried out 153 attacks on North and East Syria. Today, the SDF forces once again successfully repelled an attack. 5 SDF fighters felt martyr, one was wounded.

Women from all over Syria,including Alawite&Druze women who joined via Zoom, took part in the conference "Women’s Alliance: The Basis for Justice and Democratic Unity in a Decentralized Syria". The participants emphasized the necessity of unifying the voice of all women in Syria.

Self-defense for women is as important as air is for breathing. In this sense a new education period was held and 14 new women joined YPJ, promising to fight to defend their land and their people.
