Kilian's name has Irish/Gaelic origin and has meanings like bright-headed, little warrior and even church for example which I associated him mostly with the first two.

Oh a few. His wards call him either KiKi or Kili. They called him that because they had trouble saying his name when they were younger and it got stuck now. Aymeric calls him Lian but only when they're only to seperate their work life and private life

Before Kilian joined the Scions he wasn't really good with tech, but because dealing all Allagan stuff he learns a lot from the others, so now he can handle the basics as long as the technology isn't that much different from what he learned so far

Because so many people rely on Kilian (his wards, the scions etc.) he always forgets to take care of himself, so it's unfortunately not unusal for others when Kilian is not resting despite being injured or ill and basically has to be forced by the others to take a break
