Yeah, that’s fair, though I think the ability to port an account between servers is something you can do for ATProto and not ActivityPub (which is why it’s helpful for the case where bluesky’s moderation becomes shit)

I mean that might be good enough for a proof of concept? I’m assuming any solution that is gonna happen is gonna start out low spec and maybe be small or invite-only until there’s money to actually put into infrastructure

From my understanding… not quite? Mastodon is different individual sources, where ATproto is more about accessing a shared source. If you are banned off of bluesky theoretically you can go to another ATProto-based app and see your stuff still though the logistics of that I still need to work out

Wait to get smited, deleting it will delete it off of ATProto afaik whereas getting smited off of bluesky would only delist the posts off of bluesky and they would still exist if another ATProto client came around
