I’ve been enjoying this. This is a red band comic meant for mature audiences. The violence is very well represented, which works for Punisher. Mature themes and clearly not shying away from the violence, but when a character uses adult/mature language, we get symbols and edited words. Just weird.

@gregrucka.com and. @nicolascottart.bsky.social are putting out one of my favorite DC books right now. Cheshire and Cheetah Rob the Justice League is a fun caper story pulls you in with great character work in both the writing and art and an insane premise for a heist. It’s an absolute must read!

If you have never read Criminal or experienced the magic of a Brubaker @seanphillips.bsky.social collaboration, go get this comic! It’s a great introduction to the series, which I’m sure will come in handy when the Amazon Prime show starts next year. The newsprint on this was a great touch!

The DC KO Knightfight series has been great so far. What I am enjoying about it, is that this would be a cool Batman story even if it weren’t part of an event. That to me, is the mark of a good tie-in. @joshuawilliamson.bsky.social does not get enough love for the work he has done at DC.

DC KO has been every bit of the fun I was hoping the event would be. Of late, I have felt largely let down by Marvel and DC events. So, far this is a win from me. Issue two was a wild, over the top ride! Can’t wait for the next issue.

So… subscribers are going to pay Disney then make content for the platform using Disney IPs that Disney can then use without having to pay the creator? They’re going to get paid for exploiting someone else’s work that they don’t have to pay for. Am I getting this right?

I want to throw a shout out to @wordballoon.bsky.social Over the last two decades, I’ve become aware of so many new creators and tried so many new comics because of John’s incredible library of creator interviews that give us a great glimpse into the head of many creators. It’s a treasure trove!

I love comics! Great creators. Great stories. Great art. Great characters. Great community. They’re an escape when the world gets to be too much. They’ve become a gateway into some amazing friendships. They’ve expanded my world in ways I’ve never thought possible through amazing people I’ve met.

What an asshole. It's amazing to think that this is where we are as a nation. He's so appalling in every respect. And to think that he said this while shitting his own pants.
Trump on Ilhan Omar: "I think she's a disgraceful person. A loser. It's amazing the way people vote. I know it's people from her area, maybe of the world. They got here and the vote her in. It's hard to believe. But I think she's a disgusting person."
