This ine is REALLY hard to gauge without seeing the id assume yellow Kuja Pirate support.

First effect hints at there being some way to cheat a body outside of just life triggers hopefully.

Second effect is… fine? Idk the 2 Boa blockers become burn cards, but is that good pressure? I’m not sure
Not saying anything about the leaked leaders yet, but I will say that I don’t think they’re THAT bad if real.

Some weird choices for colors is my only gripe
At the end of the set I’ll give my thoughts on each leader but this is a cool start.

Becomes a 8k leader swing at the end of pretty much every turn, or maybe we’ll get some events that bolster its game plan.

Biggest hope is we get an event that gives your opponent’s leader slash for the turn

Nami ban is great, locking the new version into East Blue cards only DRASTICALLY drops the power level of the deck.

I’m a fan of the complex bans. In the future, maybe we see RP Law free.

List I went 3-1 with at Pre-Release for a 3rd place finish. This set is a ton of fun to draft. You don’t need to hit any Supers to do well and honestly, I only played the SEC in a single game I was already winning.

If you can get to a sealed battle this week I recommend it
Skipped an entire release cycle to readjust my head. Been a locals rut still, but I’ve been more confident in my play.

Starting in OP13 I’ll be way more on top of it. Also going to do threads on my overall thoughts each OP12 deck and the starters

Been busy with the write ups post Banlist (hence why they aren’t here 3 weeks later) but apparently I missed the whole of ST22 getting revealed.

No opinions yet, but hey I’m cool with more support for Ace/Marco even I don’t play them
I don’t know how I feel about rotation in this game.

I think it could be a good thing overall. The big thing is that this can curve power creep, meaning less need for banlists. Cards could potentially be less and the barrier for entry for new players could be lower

But like… I like big card pools
Gecko dead. I think most people accepted this.

Jimbe feels like such a heavy hit to the other decks that can play warlord stuff, but I get it

Ice Age… yeah in hindsight this card is pretty crazy.

Kingdom Come is such an odd hit. Vegapunk catching strays because of Enel sucks to see
But like… that’s it. Looking over at Japan post EB02, the meta looks super diverse. OP11 has also ramped up the power of decks significantly, so it’s arguable if a list is even needed.

All I can say is that 2026 can’t come soon enough with the simultaneous release
Other than that maybe some kind of Black hit. Moria continues to be such a powerful card for BY Luffy and Lucci that it probably needs to go, but I also wouldn’t want those decks to be unplayable.

Blackbeard needs some kind of hit, idk what but something to tune it down. Jesus is here for attention
Aside from Doffy stuff, I don’t really think too much else needs addressed outside of Gum-Gum Giant. It’s the best counter event in the game.

Period.

It’s also the common denominator between all purple Straw Hat decks. Yes, it isn’t the reason they’re good but it’s a crutch when needed. Limit it
Though I still think Teach has the biggest target. He is just too free of a card. Turn he’s played he guarantees the leader ability. Essentially gives you 2 additional Don every turn going forward. The only downside obviously is your hand size, but if you play aggressive enough you can just not care
Perona/Buggy are card that aren’t exactly strong but they do essentially let you start the game with a 10/8 card hand respectively to work from. The turn 1 deck stack for the next few turns is such a powerful play for the deck. Stackers with a higher cost are fine because they mess with the curve
I don’t see Bandai banning supers, but these are both cards that really hammer the aggression of the deck. Hitting Jimbe limits the bodies to the board and losing Law reduces the removal power. They’re great cards to hit, but I don’t see it happening
So still piecing together my thoughts on OP11 (will admit I was very wrong about UP Luffy), but I quickly wanted to give my thoughts on the upcoming Banlist.

Banning the Doffy leader IS the correct choice for balance, but maybe they hit the cards around it instead?
